I am Stevie, a counsellor-in-training currently building client hours while studying for a foundation degree in Counselling Theory and Practice at Staffordshire University. I offer person-centred, trauma-sensitive support to adults facing a wide range of emotional challenges, including grief, identity shifts, relational patterns, anxiety, and the quiet weight of experiences that feel too much or not enough.
My practice is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I have experience working with trauma and addiction, particularly through my work supporting survivors of sexual and domestic violence. This has shaped my understanding of how people cope, how they protect themselves, and how healing can unfold at a pace that feels safe.
Before training as a counsellor, I spent more than two decades in leadership roles that deepened my understanding of systems, integrity, and the human impact of decision-making. That background continues to influence how I hold space, with clarity, attunement, and respect for complexity.
I also have experience facilitating safe and inclusive spaces, particularly within men’s work, explorations of masculinities, and inclusion, equity, and diversity. I believe in meeting people where they are, holding space gently for what is emerging, and supporting them to be their own change.
